In fact , I couldn’t swim until I was in fourth grade. One day, my father’s friend invited my family to have fun beside the river. I was the only one left on the riverside. Since I couldn’t swim so I made up my mind to learn it.
My mother enrolled me in a swimming lesson. At first I was scared of the strict-looking coach, but later I found him to be patient and nice. He first taught me basic techniques such as floating , breathing and kicking. After some frustrating days, I still couldn’t conquer the fear of deep water, so he taught me how to be relaxed and confident in the water. It seemed that with this determination,I could then easily float on water. After several attemps, I was eventually able to swim in freestyle.
